About Me

The abilities to speak and eat are two of life's greatest gifts and our strongest tools for connecting with each other. Without a voice or an ability to share homemade meals with loved ones, we risk feeling isolated.

It is my mission to help others regain and improve their ability to speak, be heard, and safely nourish their bodies.

I am a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certified through the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Given our current state of emergency, I am honored to provide speech, language, voice, and swallowing services through an online platform.

I have provided rehabilitative services in hospitals and rehab facilities across the nation, spanning from Virginia to Hawaii! This has allowed me to work with a wide variety of people from all walks of life.

Normally in my free time, I can be found hiking, biking, participating with the local Parkinson's support group, or traveling with my husband.  Currently, I am working hard to help others navigate online health services so we can continue to protect our community while providing important speech therapy programs to those in need.

If you or a loved one has Parkinson's disease, see if this structured program that targets motor speech, voice, and cognitive exercise is right for you.

Whether you have had speech challenges throughout your life or are now struggling with speech clarity (dysarthria) or language expression (e.g. aphasia) due to a stroke, I am happy to offer one-on-one services to help you be heard and understood.

Dysphagia therapy

Are you having difficulty with swallowing solids or liquids? With speech therapy, your swallow function can be evaluated and appropriate treatment plans will be discussed.

Accent Training

Having an accent native to where your background is not a speech impediment, but for some people, it can lead to communication breakdowns. I provide a safe space to support your speech and communication needs that you have the power to use when you want to.

Learn more through stories.

Similar to Chicken Soup for the Soul, this book shares real stories of Lauren's work and the work of other SLPs across various settings. From newborns to end-of-life, find out how speech therapists can help you with life's greatest gifts.

"I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued."
